About this ebook

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Brandon Sanderson, Warbreaker is the story of two sisters, who happen to be princesses, the God King one of them has to marry, the lesser god who doesn't like his job, and the immortal who's still trying to undo the mistakes he made hundreds of years ago.

Their world is one in which those who die in glory return as gods to live confined to a pantheon in Hallandren's capital city and where a power known as BioChromatic magic is based on an essence known as breath that can only be collected one unit at a time from individual people.

By using breath and drawing upon the color in everyday objects, all manner of miracles and mischief can be accomplished. It will take considerable quantities of each to resolve all the challenges facing Vivenna and Siri, princesses of Idris; Susebron the God King; Lightsong, reluctant god of bravery, and mysterious Vasher, the Warbreaker.

Warbreaker is a thought-provoking and enthralling standalone fantasy novel. With its well-drawn characters, intricate magic system, and a vividly realized world, it is a testament to Brando's ability to create immersive and captivating narratives. The layers of political intrigue and moral dilemmas woven throughout the story make it a rewarding and satisfying read. Warbreaker is must-read for those seeking a unique and immersive standalone fantasy experience. My favorite Brando novel to date!

Very entertaining, feels like Elantris but with great improvement in Brandon's writing, and approaching in different concepts, glad to see how much he advanced since then.

One of the best books that I have read. There were plot twists a-plenty and the universe that Sanderson brings to bear is intriguing. Every character is brought to life without the author becoming long winded and the scenes are set with just enough detail. The magic used in this novel is different from any other that I have read and brings a "breath" of fresh air to the genre. I look forward to reading other titles by Mr. Sanderson.
