This may possibly be the worst book I've ever read. It is dry, boring, and lifeless throughout. The plot lacks substance and the characters are uninteresting. After I was done with the book, I put it through the paper shredder, burned the shredded paper, and flushed the ashes down the toilet. I cannot imagine how anyone can get the slightest bit of enjoyment from reading this. Jane Eyre is 450 pages of torture. If this sounds appealing to you, I recommend that you read it.

Almost humorous in its drama, Jane Eyre has seeped into the cultural ether in ways to make it familiar to the first time reader. As a fun follow up: try the Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde. This particular edition could stand to have Google revisit the OCR scan and make the necessary corrections and cleanup. With the cultural importance of this novel in literature, it deserves some minor editing.

It was decent, except the character was so very fickle. I hope Google gets a chance to clean up the copy to make it more legible and perhaps add in footnotes translating the French.
