About this ebook

The Paris Temple of Anubis is full of secrets, and Ani is determined to figure out what they are.

Under the cover of helping her mentor with a mummification, Ani and Nik are charged with their first inquisitor mission - to discover the secret of what's going on in the catacombs beneath Paris.

With the unusual choice of burial in the catacombs already testing Ani's faith to the limits, she's not sure she can take any more when she uncovers the truth of what's happening there.

And with no idea who to trust, Ani's first mission is more intense than she ever imagined possible.

Catacomb horror! Ani and Nik are summoned to join Kafre at the temple in Paris. Under the guise of a mummification, they will subtly examine the catacombs. Their undercover investigation will either justify his concerns or put them to rest. I like the evolution of Ani and Nik’s relationship. The intertwining of modern technology with an Egyptian futuristic world makes the mystery more relatable. I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary.

This book is intense. Ani and Nik are on their first mission as Inquisitors. They’re in Paris ostensibly to help Khafre with a mummification of a Blessed. They’re really undercover to find out what’s wrong in the catacombs in Paris. What they find is not only disturbing but incredibly sad. It goes against everything that the priests of Anubis should be. To find out what exactly you’ll have to read for yourself. While always nice to see Khafre and Beni I do wish it were under happier circumstance

I'm voluntarily leaving a review after receiving a free copy. I liked how it explains how Ani and Nik feel when confronted by the Paris Catacombs. I'm aware at the time, it was deemed necessary but I have to admit it makes me feel uneasy. Ani and Nik's job as inquisitors starts with a horrifying discovery. I look forward to the next book to discover what is to be done about it.
