About this ebook

The epic conclusion to the New York Times–bestselling Summoner trilogy, by Taran Matharu!

Fletcher and his friends fight for survival in the ether, where they pursue a mortally dangerous quest to rebuild their world and broker peace.

Even as hatred threatens to turn friend into foe in The Battlemage, Fletcher must lead a small army of soldiers into battle to protect his ancestral homeland, and face his biggest challenge yet: his nemesis, the albino orc, Khan, who seeks to destroy everything Fletcher holds dear.

Spoiler alert... Loved the trilogy, but rather disappointed with Fletcher. He's been dedicated to and fighting for equality. But, when the statue was created, it was made without the gremlins. Even though they seemed to be the race who risked everything to come to his rescue most.

An Epic conclusion to one of the best series I've ever read. A trip through the Ether and... the Abyss will have you on the edge of your seat, impossible to stop turning pages. You'll barely have time to catch your breath as Fletcher and Ignatius are thrown head first into the ever-growing treachery and deceit of the greedy Triumvirate while Kahn and his Orc/Goblin army unleash the full prophecy against the races of Hominum. Outnumbered and against all odds, our group of unlikely heroes have little more than each other to face the final War. An amazing story of devotion, trust, and courage that will have you cheering harder than the finale of the Lord of the Rings. You’ll feel as if you’re right in the middle of all the action, experiencing every sensation of the protagonist and never having the assurance that all will prevail. It’s all or nothing this time around. Incredible new demons, more gremlins, and the revelation of the identity of Ignatius. The only bad thing I can say: this is the last book! It’s like having the best 4-course Dinner of your life knowing there won’t be any more afterwards. The Arcturus novel in 2018 should be a great tale, a nice desert.

I loved it, but the ending didn't feel satisfying. It definitely needs to be added on to, weather it's with prequels or sequels. There's a lot of unanswered questions, such as where the Ether's light source is, or what that shrine that Fletcher and Sylva found meant. There's so much more that could be explained. Maybe Taran could do what Rick Riodrian did and make a spin-off series.
