Thank you Elise Kova! I am so very glad to have come across such a good series; this is INTENSE... I am the type of reader that does not read just for the sake of appreciating the art form; perhaps I can't stand GREAT literature, and that makes me less of a person. perhaps. This is no great literary masterpiece; the series tells the story about a hopeful young woman faced with extreme circumstance. What I admire most is Vhalla's ultimate refusal to accept defeat; it would seem she ends with nothing, a broken woman, yet she does not leave as a weak woman by any means, and I sincerely hope to read more into the life of this incredible person.

Some parts were so intense, I needed to put down the book & take a breath! Storytelling at it's best!

The characters grow and don't shy away from the reality if being a hero and humanly flawed

Elise Kova has always had a passion for storytelling. She wrote her first novella, a high-fantasy, in sixth grade. Over the years she's honed her love of literature with everything from fantasy to romance, science fiction to mystery, and whatever else catches her eye.
