Nico is so hot I think my e-reader left singe-marks on my lap where it rested while I was reading this book. Good thing e-readers come with ubiquitous covers so the other mommy's at the gymnastics lessons couldn't tell the reason I was squirming in my seat and biting my hand was because I was on fire! I loved how three-dimensional the characters were in this story and the way that it grabbed you and dragged you kicking and screaming (or in this case, hot, sweaty, and screaming) through the entire book. If I had to make one complaint, Nico came on a bit strong for me at first (if it had been me, I would have drop-kicked him in the crotch the first three chapters ... but I'm a martial artist). It had a plot, too. And believable, well-rounded secondary characters. And ... cake. Yes, this book even had cake! Can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Really loved Bronte and Nico. They each had baggage and had to be brave with one another. The language was real, not vulgar. The chemistry was hot but not cheap. Would love to keep right on reading about their lives!

The ending is so much predictable but ain't all romance stories ended well... love the part when Nico found out about Carl. Such sweet feeling and gave me a gigglish feeling.

About the author

CC MACKENZIE is a USA Today bestselling author, which means she no longer does laundry or grocery shopping.

Born in Scotland, she could write her name when she was three and excelled in English. In spite of failing Math, she went on to a successful career in International Banking specialising in trade finance, which just goes to show Karma has a hilarious sense of humour.
