The only book you need to have solid knowledge of web design. Before I had bought this book I made a profound research of books that would learn me as much as possible skills of web design and I considered this as not only best but maybe even an only candidate. The reasons are following: 1) Book teaches about all aspects of web design - HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Web Graphics (most other books concentrate only on one or two parts and don't go too much in depth as this book). 2) New knowledges are put in context of other knowledges so that reader can better understand. 3) Book has a lot of examples which enhance your learning and understanding. I definitely recommend this book.
