When Maxi had a break in and her place was trashed, her boss asked her husband, owner of Elite Protection Security Group, to send a bodyguard to find out who was after Maxi. That bodyguard turned out to be Billy. Someone Maxi had known years ago because her father, a wrestling coach, had taken him under his wing, leading him to win 2 world championships in boxing. When their attraction never came to anything, Billy became a player and Maxi tried to forget about him. Now that they were together all the time, it was impossible for them to deny the attraction that still existed between them. This was a very hot story. Between the incredible attraction and Billy knowing how Maxi felt about being independent, he had his work cut out for him protecting her. He also didn't know that Maxi was keeping a secret about other things that had been happening. She was pretty smart so keeping that secret didn't make sense. She should have been able to figure out that it was important to share this information and that it might have some relevance to her stalker situation. This book is full of romance, suspense, some erotic love scenes, and drama. It draws you in from the beginning and keeps you there the whole way through to the end. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes romance, suspense and drama all wrapped into one book. * 3.5 stars*

All He Wants by Melanie Shawn is book 9 of The Crossroads Series. Maxine “Maxi” Rizzo grew up in the gym where her father trained young men to be boxers. Billy “The Big Bad Wolf” Marshall grew up in the boxing ring, under the tutelage of Maxi’s dad. Maxi grew up proud of being independent and in control of her life. Billy left the boxing ring while he was still healthy and now works for Elite Security. Maxi crushed on Billy growing up but decided that she did not want to date boxers. Billy cared about Maxi and kept his eye on her at the gym. Out of the blue, Maxi is in serious danger from a stalker. Being an independent woman, she does not want someone else to take care of her. Billy is given the job to keep Maxi safe by his boss at Elite Security. He is livid that she kept this from him, but he cannot let anyone else do this job. He has to take care of her no matter what she thinks. I enjoyed All He Wants and was delighted with the way Melanie Shawn allowed Maxi and Billy to discovered their feelings for each other as well as to trust one another. The characters were well written, authentic and complex. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end. I genuinely enjoyed reading this book and I highly recommend this book to other readers. I am looking forward to reading the next installment of the Crossroad Series.

Billy and Maxie come from a shared past that binds them together at a young age. Each has issues with the past and are not sure what the future holds. Their love sparked at a young age and never really ended it only grew over the years. They strugle with facing and over comming each of their past issues, enjoy the present and embrace a future neither one of them though possible but always secretly longed for. I love a story like this where a couple starts out and grows over the years together and the stranth that can be born from that kinda love. This story was so exciting and action packed it keept me hooked to the last word. I am excited for the next in the series.
