About this ebook

From USA Today bestselling author Julianne MacLean comes an inspiring novel about secrets, forgiveness, and second chances. It’s the newest title in her popular Color of Heaven Series, where people are affected by real life magic and miracles that change everything they once believed about life and love.

It’s been five years since Emma Cochran endured the worst possible tragedy—the sudden, unexpected death of her four-year-old son. The emotional trauma tore her marriage apart, but now her divorce is final and she wants to begin again. She’s found happiness at last with her fiancé, Luke, who is eager to start a family with her.

On the other side of the country, single mother Bev Hutchinson watches helplessly as her five-year-old daughter Louise drowns in a high-profile boating accident. Miraculously, Louise is brought back to life and claims she went to heaven. The news causes a media frenzy surrounding the little girl, and Bev does everything she can to shield herself and her daughter from the relentless swarming of the press.

Lives collide when Emma becomes obsessed with the story of the child, thousands of miles away, who drowned and went to heaven. She wants to connect with the mother, but Emma’s fiancé is against the idea because he wants her to let go of her grief and move on.

But sometimes, moving on isn’t the right choice when miracles are leading you back to your past—toward something, or someone, who was your destiny all along.

I am a new reader of Ms MacLean stories, and I have to say I am impressed. The story is engaging , heartbreaking, filled with tragedy, but also, hope . As hard as it is to imagine when an individual has had to endure the devastation of the loss of a child, God works in miraculous ways. And indeed, behind every cloud there is a silver lining. Be forewarn , you will need a box of tissues. I was gifted this copy. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

She did it again! The Color of a Silver Lining makes you believe in destiny, in love, and ... Sorry, no spoiler! I read the book in one sitting, got attached to the characters as soon as they were introduced, and cried with them when they were in agony. The characters work at getting over the tragedies in their lives when a sequence of events sends them into the direction they have to take to fulfill their destiny. As the saying goes, "Nothing happens without a reason". One thing I love about Julianne's characters is their depth. The Color of a Silver Lining is a story about hope, love, and destiny. Julianne brings us on a journey of forgiveness and of hope that leads the characters to their destiny, to fill in their place in the grand design of life.

Once again Julianne MacLean writes a beautiful, emotional, and complex story of love, hope, & second chances! The Color of a Silver Lining starts with a tragedy. Julianne’s writing is so wonderful that the characters come alive and you feel their grief and pain. This emotional story encourages you to want to live the life you were meant to live while here on earth. To love and to forgive. Through a sweet innocent child, who dies & is brought back to life, we are reminded of the hope of heaven. God does indeed work in glorious & miraculous ways! This book will grab ahold of your heart from the very beginning and it will not let go until the very end. You will believe that the little miracles of life are gifts from God. Julianne weaves an emotional story filled with twists & turns, heartache, pain & sorrow, love, hope & joy! I highly recommend reading The Color of a Silver Lining. If you have never read a Julianne MacLean novel you should! This is the 13th book in the series, but can be read as a stand-alone novel. This book is so engrossing that you will not want to do anything but read! This is my honest review of The Color of a Silver Lining. I did receive an advanced copy of the book. I was not required or compensation for my opinion.
