About this ebook

Terry Goodkind, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the enormously popular Sword of Truth novels, the basis for the TV show The Legend of the Seeker, has forged another masterful installment with Faith of the Fallen, pitting Richard Rahl and Kahlan Amnell against threats to the freedom of the world that will take them to opposite ends of the world to defeat the forces of chaos and anarchy.

Emperor Jagang is rising once again in the Old World and Richard must face him, on his own turf. Richard heads into the Old World with Cara, the Mord-Sith, while his beloved Kahlan remains behind. Unwilling to heed an ancient prophecy, Kahlan raises an army and goes into battle against forces threatening armed insurrection in the Midlands.

Separated and fighting for their lives, Richard and Kahlan will be tested to the utmost.

From book one Terry has Richard being put into some form of servatud. Gets caught by the Sisters and forced to whare a collar, gets caught and taken to D'hara by Mord-Sith, and now a Dark Sister?! Come on, if the other books fallow this same path I can't say whether or not I'll continue after this one. Sad because I'm so far liking the final outcomes of each book, but would like to see a different scenario! Thanks

This book is where the pacing of the series starts to slow and get bogged down. It almost feels a bit soap-boxy as you go through it. Out of all the books in the series and it's following books this one was the hardest for me to get through.

With a strange melding of worldviews -communism/socialism/calvanism matched up against an atheistic capitalism - the author still manages to write a story that draws your along with anxious anticipation of the outcome. The best versions of free enterprise are still driven by people desiring to better the lives of others and the typical expressions of communism/socialism are not coupled with religion so its interesting to see how the author has smashed these disparate views into a compelling read.
