THE TROUBLE WITH PIXIES
All Michael wants is a quiet evening in his new home, but an unexpected visit puts paid to that.
Hattie isn't here to welcome her new neighbour, though. There's something in Michael's attic that shouldn't be there. Several somethings, in fact.
Hattie says they're invisible to everyone but her. Michael thinks she's crazy. But armed with a paintball gun, Hattie's going to prove him wrong.
TEARS OF GOLD
By day Cheryl works for a city law firm. By night she breaks into the houses of wealthy Edinburgh citizens and takes what she can.
After stealing a valuable necklace from the home of Hattie Turner, Cheryl can't believe her luck when she discovers the object has magical abilities.
But joy soon turns to misery, as the necklace begins to weave its power over her.
Meanwhile, Hattie is determined to get the Brisingamen necklace back under lock and key.
LAND OF THE ICE GIANTS
All Hattie wants to do is get to the Ice Giants kingdom and then get home again to her beloved Edinburgh. Discovering a grouchy forest spirit in the boot of her broken-down car is the last thing she needs on this dangerous mission.
But on reaching the kingdom, she and the forest spirit, Vik, don't receive the warmest of welcomes. And when things turn deadly, Hattie may soon come to rely on Vik for her very survival.
FESTIVAL OF FIENDS
"Sorry, are you trying to tell me you don't find me funny?"
With the world descending on Edinburgh for the annual summer festivals, Hattie Turner decides to make a bit of money by renting out her spare room to a festival-goer. Unlucky for her, her new tenant turns out to be Lyle Sanders who, according to Hattie, is the world's least funniest comedian, despite his success. Worst still, Lyle takes a shine to his new landlady.
Meanwhile, Hattie's neighbour Michael has received some attention himself, in the shape of the impossibly glamorous jazz singer, Nicole Daria. Michael can't believe his luck that this beautiful, alluring temptress is interested in a guy like him. But he should know that luck sometimes has nothing to do with it...
