About this ebook

"There was no black and white in my world. It was black or blacker. And I was the blackest of them all."

Xavier "X" Blood
only remembers the last few years of his life.
Trained as an emotionless and deadly assassin, he goes through each day crossing out names on a never-ending list, not once asking why they deserve what he delivers. Death.
Then one day, his programming starts to unravel and it's all because of her.

Mercy Reid has a secret. A big one. The kind that will get her killed if it gets out.
Looking to get lost, she runs from one hopeless situation and falls into the clutches of a monster. A monster that was programmed by the worst of the worst to kill without remorse. A man who is looking for her.

When X is given his latest target, things become muddy. He knows his mark is right in front of his eyes, but he doesn't want to acknowledge it. He's literally losing his mind after all.
Will he defy his programming and save the woman who has made him feel again?
Or will he pull the trigger?

From International Bestselling author, Amity Cross, comes Royal Blood, the first full length novel in the thrilling Romantic Suspense series of the same name.

Royal Blood is a real page turner. Couldn't drop it from the moment I started, up until the last page when X and Mercy rode off into the night away from Weiss. The story is full of hot and steamy scenes, and is well written in a way which fits the story; raw, pagan, without embellishments and this only adds to the excitement. It is lustful without being trashy, touching without being romantic, and over all exciting. However, the plot seems to have dropped quite suddenly on the part of them falling in love. It would help if it played a little on X starting to fall for Mercy and Mercy doing the same. Well, just a thought. Overall, the story of X and Mercy is something to look forward to. Congratulations and seriously looking forward to reading Book 2.

It was fast paced (I read it in a day) & I like how the view point shifted from chapter to chapter to better understand the characters motivations. I enjoyed the strong willed, fierce main character of Mercy and the mysterious tormented X. Their chemistry was undeniably HOT! I will be looking for the next book to go on sale in this series!

Gah! If I had the money, I would be buying all of these right now. No lie... I read this all in one day, I couldn't put it down. A series that is staying around the main characters, I couldn't ask for more!
