About the author

Hokyoung Ryu holds a Masters degree in Industrial Engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Korea (1999) and a Ph.D in Psychology from the University of York, U.K. (2004). His current role is as a Lecturer in Information Technology, at Massey University, Auckland, New Zealand. His research interests include Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), mobile usability and mobile learning, publishing more than hundred peer-reviewed articles in conferences, journals, and book chapters. He is currently preparing to edit another mobile learning book tentatively entitled “Designing Themes in Mobile Learning”. He is also authoring two books – "Mobile User Interface Analysis and Design" and “Affordance Design”, and currently an associate editor of the International Journal of Mobile Learning and Organisation. Dr. Ryu is a member of the British Computer Society’s HCI group and the Centre for Mobile Computing at Massey University

David Parsons is Associate Professor of Information Technology at Massey University, Auckland, New Zealand. He has a PhD in Information Technology from Nottingham Trent University (UK) and has wide experience in both academia and industry. He is the founding Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Mobile and Blended Learning and author of a number of texts on computer programming, web application development and mobile learning. His work has been published in many international journals, including Computers & Education, IEEE Transactions on Learning Technologies and Software Practice and Experience. He chaired the Conference on Mobile Learning Technologies and Applications in 2007 and was co-editor of Innovative Mobile Learning: Techniques and Technologies (Information Science Reference, 2009). He is a member of the International Association for Mobile Learning and a professional member of the British Computer Society. [Editor]
