Upon graduation, he felt the call to serve, joining the Air Force and rising to the rank of Sergeant. His time in the service not only honed his discipline but also deepened his perspective, elements that would later infuse his poetic voice.
Returning to Saginaw, he embraced the roles of husband and father with the same dedication he showed in uniform. He embarked on a career with General Motors, and later Delphi, where he was known for his reliability and integrity. Retirement from the corporate world only gave him more time to indulge in his passions.
Today, he is a cherished figure in his community, not just for his soulful poetry, but also for his hearty cooking, often delighting friends and neighbors with his grilled specialties and baked treats.
