About this ebook

He was an artist. She was his muse.

To everyone in town, Abel Adams was the devil's spawn, a boy who never should have been born. A monster.

To twelve-year-old Evie Hart, he was just a boy with golden hair, soft t-shirts and a camera. A boy who loved taking her picture and sneaking her chocolates before dinner. A boy who made her feel special.

Despite her family's warnings, she loved him in secret for six years. They met in empty classrooms and kissed in darkened church closets. Until they couldn't.

Until the time came to choose between love and family, and Evie chose Abel.

Because their love was worth the risk. Their love was the stuff of legend.

But the thing about legends is that they are cautionary tales. They are made of choices and mistakes. And for Abel and Evie, the artist and the muse, those mistakes come in the form of lights, camera, sex.

Forbidden Romance, Friends to lovers Romance, Angsty Romance, Coming of Age Romance, Bad Boy Romance, Good Girl Bad Boy Romance.

My heart broke for Abel and Evie. The cruelty of the narrow minded so called "godly" town folk had my blood boiling. Their courage knew no bounds in this coming of age romance. Abel and Pixie (Evie) are the best of characters, their love is intoxicating and at times their anger palpable. The excellent storyline is emotional and sad at times and shows what an incredibly talented writer Saffron Kent is. You won't want to miss this gem.

Gah!!!!!!!! This was one of my most anticipated reads for 2018. I loved the first two books that Kent has written. Her writing style is so different than any other author I've read. And I love that. She writes about the love that's a little darker, nonconventional hard topics, the kind of love that's out there that most people don't want to talk about. And this was definitely one of those. I found my heart in my throat and tears in my eyes throughout the entire book. This book is filled with so many emotions. And some that I could relate to because I went through some of this growing up. Abel and Evie struggled not just with outside influences, family but also within themselves. We are human we make mistakes. Hopefully, we learn from those mistakes and grow. No one is perfect or will ever be perfect. There's no such thing. And when you start to love as young as Abel and Evie did there will be mistakes. This wasn't my favorite from Kent because there were timeline issues and some things mentioned but resolved in the plot. But I did enjoy the book and will definitely continue to read her books. Because I love her words!!!!!!

This book..this harshly beautiful, incredible book...what can I say? Saffron A Kent's words are mesmerizing. Abel and Evie's love story is unconventional, but it's a love story nonetheless. For me, reading is a chance to step into someone else's life. It's easy to say your heart breaks for a character, but it truly will here. My emotions were overflowing while reading. I felt their pain, their loneliness and anger, their love. This is the kind of book that takes you out of your own little world, out of your comfort zone. Everything about Gods & Monsters is exceptional. Saffron's talented mind has created a story I won't soon forget. JCM
