After visiting the quarantined planet Glemux against his will, Doogan wants nothing more than to put the strange world behind him, fix his computer girlfriend, and find the bastard who sent him there.  But the espionage wing of the Empire has something else in mind.  A planet has broken out of its quarantine, sent dark ships into space and brought magic with them.

Drafted as a de facto expert, Doogan returns to Glemux to consult the only real experts he knows, the Dúranaki T'vance and his magically adept friends, unwittingly entangling them in a conflict that threatens the very fabric of civilization.

But as any Dúranaki will tell you, there isn't a conflict that can't be resolved with a few strategic murders.

Ratings and reviews

A great mix of genres! A fun read that I enjoyed very much. To the layman, I would say it's a great mix of swords and sorcery to galactic adventure. AD&D meets Star Wars in a trekie style. The first person perspective switch is easily handled by remembering to read the characters name at the beginning of each chapter. I had but a little trouble once or twice, but as the story progressed, it wasn't hard to remember, and truthfully, the authors skill soon leads the reader to recognize the character. Fun Read!

A nice change from all the dystopian future, zombies, and vampires which seem to be the only SciFi being published these days. It was fun to see how much the author's skills had developed since Dúranaki Chronicles Vol 1. I'd say his writing skills have caught up to his story telling skills which were good from the start. Definitely not a rehash or copy of anything else I have read.

I love this book! It has everything you need. Outer space, magic and all around awesomeness!
