About this ebook

These casually drawn, perfectly on-point comics by the hugely popular young artist Sarah Andersen are for the rest of us. They document the wasting of entire beautiful weekends on the internet, the unbearable agony of holding hands on the street with a gorgeous guy, and dreaming all day of getting home and back into pajamas. In other words, the horrors and awkwardnesses of young modern life. Oh and they are totally not autobiographical. At all.

Adulthood Is a Myth presents many fan favorites plus dozens of all-new comics exclusive to this book. Sarah's frankness on personal issues like body image, self-consciousness, introversion, relationships, and the frequency of bra-washing makes her comics highly relatable and deeply hilarious, showcasing how she became one of the most influential voices in web cartoonists.

Mostly relatable comedy, of the most brilliant standard. I say "mostly" because teen girls would personnally find 100% of this comic hilarious. If you're an introvert, you will find this comic 200% hilarious. And if you're the type to feel lifeless, aimless, or lazy you'll enjoy every joke, with a deeper, and more instant level of understanding. That said, I feel like hard work was put into this comic - consisting of both physical and emotional effort.

I only read the sample, but from what I read, Sarah Anderson makes good representation of life with a comedic view. It's comics for grownups! And I also think her reach goes beyond the Millennial's. I'm Gen-X and I could totally relate. It's not slap your thigh, chuckle your head off humor. It's laughing at life and finding the humor in our day-to-day struggles as humans in an unforgiving society, and reminding us that we are who we are. I'm definitely buying all Sarah's books so I can enjoy it all!

But most of the parts here were already shown on the internet. And the force landscape on my phone isn't good. I wonder whose fault was it, Google or the Publisher's... Anyway, it's a good book if you haven't read the webcomic or if you'd only want to support the author
