About this ebook

This Special Edition of The Hunger Games includes the most extensive interview Suzanne Collins has given since the publication of The Hunger Games; an absorbing behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the series; and an engaging archival conversation between Suzanne Collins and YA legend Walter Dean Myers on writing about war. The Special Edition answers many questions fans have had over the years, and gives great insight into the creation of this era-defining work.

In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The Capitol keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen regards it as a death sentence when she steps forward to take her sister's place in the Games. But Katniss has been close to death before-and survival, for her, is second nature. Still, if she is to win, she will have to start making choices that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

This book is fantastic it deserves over the range of five stars. SPOILER ALERT! it's about a girl:Katniss and she lives in district 12 which is the poorest district and sacrifices her life for her sister prim in the reeping scene which is a place where one boy and one girl from each district gets chosen to go in the hunger games ,I don't want to spoil the rest .but This book is very detailed, entertaining, fun and very good choice if you are bored or want to make time go by😍😉💕💌🩷❤️‍🔥💞🥳💯

Honestly this book just pisses me off. I really don't get the hype. This is such a white girl book and it shows. None of the characters were relatable, and Katniss pmo so bad. Her attitude was insane. My friend liked the book but it was SOOO mid. Definitely not deserving of 6 movies. It was so BORING and as slow-paced as a slug. Ngl I felt like I was reading an 11 yr olds diary. And this is coming from a 13 yr old.

I love this book and the movies! Not sure what the one star-two star reviews are about. Katniss had an attitude, sure, but who wouldn’t in a world like that?I loved the romance, but if you don’t,it might not be for you. It’s emotional and immersive felt like I was living through the story.Feels like reading a diary because it’s all from Katniss’s perspective who is also a teen duh😭and I'm 15💗 what fustrates one reader, can resonate with another and vice versa.
