About the author

 Tom King is a Certified Value Specialist (CVS), a past president of SAVE International and an elected SAVE Fellow. He was a longtime member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, and formerly served as Division Manager of Value Engineering for Joy Technologies, based in Franklin, PA. 

Tom is a graduate of the University of Pittsburg and the University of the State of New York. For several years he was a staff member at the University of Pittsburg teaching Value Engineering. He has authored books, articles and columns for many of the nation's leading industrial magazines, conducted workshops, and lectured extensively in academia and professional societies. 

Thomas R. King is regarded internationally as a leading expert in the Value Engineering field.
