About the author

Rommel Fallarme, unknown. A failure.

A Filipino named after the German general known as the “Desert Fox”, Erwin Rommel. Whereas, Fallarme is a Spanish verb referent to “failure”. Having been unfairly judged with the accusation of failing the dictator, Adolf Hitler, General Rommel became infamous.

Thus, Rommel Fallarme thought of reversing this off-putting connotation attached to his name. Like it’s not enough that he has had a substantial share of actual failures in his life, RV Fallarme capitalized on the emotions behind every unsolicited defeat.

Impassioned as he is, he wallowed in blaming himself, taking into account the thought that he failed the concerned people in his life.

He goes by the nickname, Omeng. An ignoble-sounding name he came up with when he joined a religious group which could be a fitting identity corresponding with a humbling experience, so he thought. But even that one, he believed that due to his inconsistency, he failed his faith. Along the way, he succeeded in a lot of earthly things nonetheless.

On this aspect, his greatest undertaking though is attaining considerable success for varied entities/individuals other than himself. In spite of that, he basked in the accomplishment of his faculty, however he remained a “failure”. With no status-defining attainment, more so, the affluence he likewise failed on investing in. He came to realize how he may be serving a purpose with all of these founderings. But rather than totally sink after several back and forth air-gasping, his faith kept him afloat. He found God back and he found reason to move on.

Now, with his first book, he wants to keep floating. This time however, he wants his name floating alongside people who likewise want to keep afloat, not just for the survival alone or for the possibility of a luxury cruise ship-rescuing perhaps, but for His glory.
