About this ebook

When an otter shifter returns from war to find the love of his life betrothed to another, he becomes determined to win her back.

Georgiana believed she'd marry Henry since the day she understood what it meant. But when he goes away to war, she watched that dream slip away.

After two years away, Henry returns to find Georgiana engaged, and that winning her back might not be as easy as he first thought.

Can the two otter shifters find a way back to one another?

The Otter and the Officer is part of The Shifter Season series of Regency-inspired standalone fantasy romances. It includes a lightly steamy m/f romance with a second chance romance, a surprise baby, and some cheeky otter shifters.

Dance through the balls of The Shifter Season in a series full of shifters, stolen moments, scandals, balls, and romance!

The Shifter Season is set in a secondary world inspired by Regency era England where shifters exist and engage in the social season. It is not intended to be entirely factual and elements have been fictionalised.

Georgiana and Henry spent a lot of time together before he went and enlisted in the army, promising to write every month but neither received the letters written. She was betrothed to his friend Frederick by the time he finally got back. They had trust issues about the letters to work out and did but she got pregnant. Frederick and her best friend Letty helped them get married, father finally came around and offered Henry a job. Good book!. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntaril

I really enjoyed this story. Georgina and Henry's love for each other is clear from the very first page. There was something very romantic about their story and how their love survives even after years of being apart. They find themselves in a difficult situation and I was curious to see how they would resolve it. I liked how them being otters was part of the story.

Georgiana and Henry are very much in love. He decides to join the army in order to earn the money he believes he needs in order to ask for her hand in marriage. He is gone for two years without a word so Georgiana assumes the worst. When he returns, he finds her engaged to his best friend and there doesn't seem to be a way to break the betrothal. Can the find a way to be together? Will they ruin all of the reputations in the process?
