About this ebook

Enjoy the fifth and final book in this completed series of five lighthearted, fast-paced, twisty paranormal cozy mysteries today

Enemies wear many faces.

The Here and Meow Festival has finally arrived! Amber Blackwood and her fellow festival committee members still have plenty to do before the celebration of all things feline begins. Even though Amber’s witchy past keeps interfering, she knows the show must go on. Edgehill’s livelihood depends on the festival’s success.

When two incidents involving her malfunctioning products cause her to shutter the doors of her curiosity shop, The Quirky Whisker, only days before the busiest season of the year, Amber thinks things can’t get any worse. An investigation into the incidents reveals sabotage is to blame—sabotage that only could have been carried out by a fellow witch. Things just officially got worse.

With Edgehill overrun by tourists, any unfamiliar face could be a member of the nefarious Penhallow witch family. Though her parents’ grimoires are hidden in a remote location overlaid with protective spells, Amber fears that won’t be enough to deter the desperate and cursed clan from trying to get their hands on a legendary time-travel spell.

As the opening ceremony of the Here and Meow approaches, Amber contends with a nosy lawyer, mysterious government officials, and a charismatic superstar. Through it all, Amber senses the Penhallows have something planned—something big. With her new circle of close confidants by her side, Amber must find a way to thwart the Penhallow family’s scheme before it’s too late. If she can’t, the Here and Meow will be ruined … and Edgehill could be wiped off the map.

Amber Blackwood and the festival committee members are rushing to get everything done for “The Here and Meow Festival” that is so important to the town as their big money-maker. But when Amber’s products begin malfunctioning, with a toy bear exploding and someone getting sick after drinking tea from her shop, immediately before their busy season begins, she is forced to close her curiosity shop while the cause is being investigated. It appears that deliberate sabotage was the cause, and it could only be accomplished by a witch. Amber’s mind goes immediately to the Penhallow witch family. It is critical to keep her parents’ grimoires hidden so that the Penhallows do not access a legendary time-travel spell and wreak havoc. She is convinced that they are up to something, and if she can’t figure it out, not only will the festival be ruined, but the entire town could be in danger! Can she and her friends discover and thwart the plans? Will she be in time to save the day? This was a wonderfully busy story tying up loose ends and keeping the good-guys racing to find the perpetrators! And there are a ton of other things going on as well, so the reader will need to jump right into the story line and hold on!

I loved the previous books in this series and this one is no different. The Here and Meow Festival has arrived and straight away Amber finds herself in bother. She finds that she has to close her shop just at the wrong time with the town full of people. She feels that the Penhallows have something to do with her trouble and is worried her Grimoires may be discovered by them. Kept me on the edge of my seat...very exciting. Can't wait for the next one!!! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

What an exciting book. The festival season had officially begun and so have the Penhallow's plan. Amber has realized that she would need the assistance of others to face the Penhallows. I loved how family, friends, and strangers were able to come to her aid. This book was filled with a great storyline, and many twists. I was pleased with the ending.
