About this ebook

“Marriages are made in heaven” is a well-known adage. The protagonists – Anjali (a beautiful Brahmin girl) and Chetan (a sensible tribal boy) – were destined to tie the knot, in spite of inherent hurdles.

This fiction is based on their unspoken love. Intense love for each other was ignited through an episode of novel-exchange between Anjali and Chetan. Both were shy and therefore never expressively communicated their love. It all happened in silence and without a word of love being spoken.

It was truly ‘love in silence’.

About the author

A civil engineer, the author S. Sumnyan, is fifty-five years old. He works in the Public Work Department (PWD) in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. Although he always desired to jot down a novel for the past couple of years, the point of beginning did not arrive until October 2014 owing to his busy work schedule.

The ‘set off’ point finally came one afternoon during a lunch break. He created a new folder on his laptop. The folder was named ‘Novel’ with an empty word file called ‘Love in Silence’. The ‘set off’ point was ignited when the author was catching a flight to Guwahati (Assam) at the domestic airport terminal of New Delhi. At the airport, he casually picked up a novel written by a celebrity writer.  He had read the news of its release the previous day. He read the novel during the two hours flight to Guwahati, and he was hugely encouraged and enthused by it. He began writing this novel Love in Silence the very next day. The author expresses his gratitude to the novel and its celebrity writer.

An intellect with a high degree of professionalism, the author is hugely inclined towards books and good literature.
