About this ebook

The seductive and stunning #1 New York Times bestselling sequel to Sarah J. Maas's spellbinding A Court of Thorns and Roses.

Feyre has undergone more trials than one human woman can carry in her heart. Though she's now been granted the powers and lifespan of the High Fae, she is haunted by her time Under the Mountain and the terrible deeds she performed to save the lives of Tamlin and his people.

As her marriage to Tamlin approaches, Feyre's hollowness and nightmares consume her. She finds herself split into two different people: one who upholds her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court, and one who lives out her life in the Spring Court with Tamlin. While Feyre navigates a dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms. She might just be the key to stopping it, but only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future-and the future of a world in turmoil.

Bestselling author Sarah J. Maas's masterful storytelling brings this second book in her dazzling, sexy, action-packed series to new heights.

I was skeptical in purchasing this novel as I thought the first one was over hyped. The only reason I decided to read this was the snippet at the end of ACOTAR as it left me wondering if Rhysand & Feyre would have an intimate moment. I was beyond pleased to see how the novel turned out. I enjoy how Maas pulls the reader in to feel the exact feelings Feyre feels throughout. For example, I hated Rhysand in the beginning when he interrupted her & Tamlin's wedding. I immediately sighed & rolled my eyes thinking, "Of course he would call in that week now." However, throughout the novel, we grow, as does Feyre, to love Rhysand & his friends. I also appreciate the complexity of the mating bond & how well thought out the entirety of that was. Although, with that being said, I do believe the Lucien & Elaine bit wasn't entirely believable & it felt silly. I'll be interested in seeing how that develops alongside what I think is another bond between Cassian & Nesta. Definitely a must read.

this book is SO so Much better than the first. So much better it actually makes the first one better. hard to explain but it made stuff in the first one make more sense. I was not going to go into the second book until I seen the reviews. I never buy books. I always use Libby or Overdrive through my library. I had such a long wait for the second book I finally decided to buy it after the reviews. It was actually worth it. I was scared I'd hate the second book. The first one was not worth buying. But now that I read the second one I see you definitely should read the first. This second book had me up past couple days until 2:30am. I usually go to bed at 10pm. So it grabs you. Seemed every time I told myself I was going to put this book down the next part had grabbed me yet again. My best advice is to read the second book. even if you did not get grabbed well by the first. I started reading this series because her Crescent series had me. I wanted more.

This book shredded me to ribbons, as Maas would say. I had honestly not wanted to read this second installment... I enjoyed the first one enough, but it felt cheesy and simplistic at times. However, I found myself continuing to think about the characters and wondering how Feyre could possibly end up with the likes of Rhysand. So I caved a week later, and wooww this sequel makes everything about its predecessor pale in comparison. Maas intricately weaves such richness and complexity into this story and the characters, especially their emotions. I'm still reeling after gobbling it down in a day and a half.
