Lee Mason was born in London, in 1975. At the age of nine, he moved to the Netherlands, where he attended grammar school.
After graduating as a physical therapist in 1998, Lee worked in a number of private practices, a rehabilitation center and a hospice for the terminally ill.
While working as a physical therapist, he realized how, as human beings, we would be able to prevent a considerable amount of physical, emotional and mental suffering, if only we were taught from an early age to relate as healthily as possible to our body, our emotions, our thoughts and our beliefs.
After following a series of courses on psychology, personality theory and systemic work, Lee developed a holistic therapeutic approach, aimed at promoting integral well-being.
For years, he worked with a team of psychologists and physical therapists to teach patients how to manage various physical, emotional and mental complaints as skillfully as possible.
In addition, he worked as an independent coach for clients employed by Accenture, Amsterdam University (VU) and the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture & Science (OCW).
Lee has taught various courses on health and well-being to students of the University of Amsterdam (UvA), as well as to PhD students attached to the Dutch Academic Medical Center (AMC).
He also created online courses about health and personal development, which are hosted by Integral Life.
Together with Nomali Perera, Lee created Practical Integral, an initiative to help people live optimally healthy, happy and meaningful lives.
At Integral Life, Lee also hosts regular online practice sessions for international audiences.
