About this ebook

Amoral, cunning, ruthless, and instructive, this multi-million-copy New York Times bestseller is the definitive manual for anyone interested in gaining, observing, or defending against ultimate control – from the author of The Laws of Human Nature.

In the book that People magazine proclaimed “beguiling” and “fascinating,” Robert Greene and Joost Elffers have distilled three thousand years of the history of power into 48 essential laws by drawing from the philosophies of Machiavelli, Sun Tzu, and Carl Von Clausewitz and also from the lives of figures ranging from Henry Kissinger to P.T. Barnum.

Some laws teach the need for prudence (“Law 1: Never Outshine the Master”), others teach the value of confidence (“Law 28: Enter Action with Boldness”), and many recommend absolute self-preservation (“Law 15: Crush Your Enemy Totally”). Every law, though, has one thing in common: an interest in total domination. In a bold and arresting two-color package, The 48 Laws of Power is ideal whether your aim is conquest, self-defense, or simply to understand the rules of the game.

Half of you write on here like your experts of some sort. This author itself is perhaps one of the very best we have ever seen in existence. This book teaches you many things, wise things, positive but also negative things. Things, let me me rephrase that.... Tools we need in today's modern world. As this book goes back to before Christ times to the Roman empire, thru the 1960s when John Gotti ruled the streets with nothing but ruthlessness and fear. Harry Houdini and his outmasterous tricks while fooling everyone, and of course the great Julius Caesar and his incredible reign. Plus and such a treat, this book breaks down each law, also telling stories about the great courteé Nepoleon & of course stories and phrases about the great philosopher Nicolló Machiavelli. Incredible, incredible book this is. My favorite thus far. ( Not allowed in state penitentiaries though) they consider it a weapon.

Over half the book is all manipulation tactics and r straight up deplorable, this is a quick way to get people to hate u, I skimmed through each and only about 10 we're actually good, 20 were just immoral and awful, and the rest r debatable This is an awful book, like some of the worst self help books I've ever heard of, your better off reading the art of war

I love this book. Yes, it teaches you how to manipulate and exploit your fellow man, but with so many of them being so stupid, compliant, scared and weak, what else are you going to do with the little darlings but profit off of them? I wish the world could be changed for the better, I really do, but it's delusional to think, after thousands of years of the status quo, that some woke, loser ideology is going to fix everything. Everything can't be fixed, nor should it. All that matters is how well I live, and this book helped me become the ruthless, cunning success story I am today!
