About this ebook

#1 New York Times bestselling author Daniel Silva presents "a first-rate thriller" (Rocky Mountain News) featuring art restorer—and reluctant spy—Gabriel Allon.

After an explosion in Rome destroys the Israeli embassy, Gabriel Allon makes a disturbing discovery—the existence of a dossier in terrorist hands that strips away his secrets, and lays bare his history. Drawn into the heart of a service he’d once forsaken, Allon finds himself stalking a master terrorist across a bloody landscape generations in the making. But soon, Allon will wonder who is stalking whom.

When the final showdown comes, it won’t be Allon alone who is threatened with destruction. For it is not his history alone that has been exposed...

Typically Silva, with Gabriel Allon at his best in terms of being provocatively intense. You simply cannot quit on this realistically historical story. Gabriel is real, he cannot be ignored. His commitment to his people and their painful history is incredibly involving and challenging. I continue to look for more from this author.

I started reading Gabriel Allon books from this one, which I picked at random. I thought it was tough to get into first (as I'm not much of a heavy reader) but as you keep reading everything starts to become clearer to you. The book got me hooked into buying the rest of the ones from the series.

This was the most descriptive "Allon" book I've read yet. Fantastic story line. Thank you Daniel Silva.
