About this ebook

A supernatural mystery awaits with a heroine who's having an epic midlife crisis.

My life needs a do-over button.

My comfortable world crashes the day my husband demands a divorce. Starting over is hard enough but moving into grandma's old cottage has dropped me into the middle of something weird. Missing neighbors, a monster haunting the lake, a man skulking around with an axe. There's something odd happening in my town and apparently, I'm involved whether I like it or not.

To understand the present, I'm diving into the past and discovering things about my family I never knew. There has to a logical explanation for what's happening because magic doesn't exist.

Or does it?

Genre: older heroine, paranormal women's fiction, cozy mystery, small town, fab13, midlife crisis

This story had a lot of topics to cover.Poor Naomi stays depressed through most of the story. It was kind of a pity party at some points. Although the story was written well, it Was lacking to me in some areas. I felt that we didn't get clear answers to what was going on except for her ex husband being a butt.I felt that Naomi was suicidal and she Needed a therapist. She Was very depressing at times and I felt sorry for her more then anything. I didn't see very much growth in her. I really wish that the story would have evolved differently.I ended up feeling sad the whole time reading this book. At some points I questioned myself. If you are suicidal or depressed stay away from this book. Other works by this author seems to be better. I am not sure what happened here.

This book is amazing and inspiring! Naomi is like a real person and anyone reading who hasn't been married and gained weight by having kids and being unhappy in your marriage will not get who much it can drag you down. She has inspired me to give keto a try...lol...and to live life and enjoy the days you can and to put you head down and push through the tougher days. It's also a book that inspires hope. Thanks Eve for such a great book!
