Emmanouela Vogiatzaki-Krukowski has received the PhD from the Open University of Cyprus, a BA and an MA in Set and Costume Design from University of the Arts Central Saint Martins in London, an MA in Audio Visual Production from the London Metropolitan University with emphasis on Directing and Editing and a BA in Economics from the University of Athens.
Her research interests include Cyborg Theatre, Virtual Environments and 3D Sets, Tele-Presence, Smart collaborative Environments, Mixed, Virtual and Immersive Reality Systems, Immersive User Interfaces, Serious Gaming in the Context of e-Health (rehabilitation), Media Broadcasting and Future TV/Cinema beyond High Definition.
Artur Krukowski has received his PhD and MSc degrees from the University of Westminster, London (UK), and an MSc from the Warsaw University of Technology, Warsaw (Poland). His interest areas include Digital Signal Processing (DSP) for telecommunication systems, VLSI integrated circuit design, embedded wireless sensing devices, ultra-low power technologies, Digital Audio (DAB) and Video Broadcasting (DVB), computer and network security, satellite (GNSS) and wireless positioning technologies, Smart Infrastructures, Building Management Systems, and GIS information systems.
His publication portfolio includes several books and over 50 papers in peer-reviewed journals, IEE/IEEE conferences, invited lectures and speeches. He is a frequent reviewer for IEEE journals, IEEE conference organizer, acting often as external expert and reviewer/rapporteur for proposal submitted for funding to national and European Framework R&D programs. He is a member of Expert Advisory Group of the NEM-ETP and NetWorld2020 ETP, a member of the Steering Committee and a co-chair of TA2 and TA4 group on “Communications” and “Resilience” at IMG S, as well as a founding member of MENSA-Poland.
He has coordinated and been involved in over 30 national UK/Greek and international research projects since FP5 through to H2020, other programs like COST, Artemis, AAL and international cooperation ones, etc. He serves frequently as a rapporteur to the European Commission in the evaluation of proposals submitted to calls like FP7-SME, ERA-NET-Africa/RUS, Creative Europe, COST, Eureka/EuroStars, H2020-Galileo, H2020-SMEINST and other national ones.
