About the author
Kannan Pasamanickam was born in Muar, Johor. He studied medicine at the University of Malaya and had his postgraduate training at the University Hospital, Kuala Lumpur, Victoria Infirmary, Glasgow and the University of Washington in Seattle, USA.
Between 1984 to 1994 Dr Kannan worked as a lecturer in cardiology and general medicine at the Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine University Malaya. In 1990 he was appointed Associate Professor and Consultant in Cardiology and Internal Medicine. In 1995 he joined the Subang Jaya Medical Center in Petaling Jaya, as a consultant cardiologist where he still works. Dr Kannan has written several articles which have been published in local newspapers. This is his first book.
Kannan has been happily married to Anjalai Devi for more than thirty years and they have two grown up children and at the time of writing one faithful dog, three fishes and many flowering plants to keep them company.
