Ratings and reviews

I love Troy and Piper together! They fit so well right from the first moment. The story felt like it moved a little fast, but with two characters who are meant to be, why wait I guess! I always love getting to see characters from other series, and I am excited about the new characters in this series from Troy's past. This story has the small town charm, the meant for eachother characters, and that little bit of suspense and danger that I love! I can't wait for more!. 4.5 stars. Yay! We are back in Phail, a chance to catch up with characters I loved, get to know some better and meet a whole host of new ones. I have really enjoyed getting to know Troy better, seeing him fall in love and seeing his hopes and dreams start to come true. I really liked the mix of romance, mystery, danger, friendships, family and a strong community, it was written well and held my attention. I am so looking forward to reading book 2 now! great town, great male and female leads, great dog and great townspeople generally. the only sour note is the military glorification which is so, so outdated since we have all now seen the reality of this so-called American supported "freedom fighting" which is really bombing babies in Palestine
