Tanya Bird has written a haunting Romance that takes you on a rollercoaster ride swirling down into a vortex of darkness as the people fight King Oswin's rule in this story that is filled with remarkable characters that come off the pages and will pull you into their tale, suspenseful twist and turns, a strong plot that is well written, with great dialogue. The story between Harlin and Blake will keep you sitting on the edge of your seat until the very end.

Harlan is loyal, strong and rigid, yet he is drawn to one feisty merchant girl and his life is changed forever! I loved this book from start to end. Tanya Bird is amazing if you haven't had a chance to read anything by her yet. I highly recommend everything she has written. This book is no exception!
