About this ebook

In The Son of Neptune, Percy, Hazel, and Frank met in Camp Jupiter, the Roman equivalent of Camp Halfblood, and traveled to the land beyond the gods to complete a dangerous quest. The third book in the Heroes of Olympus series will unite them with Jason, Piper, and Leo. But they number only six--who will complete the Prophecy of Seven? The Greek and Roman demigods will have to cooperate in order to defeat the giants released by the Earth Mother, Gaea. Then they will have to sail together to the ancient land to find the Doors of Death. What exactly are the Doors of Death? Much of the prophecy remains a mystery. . . . With old friends and new friends joining forces, a marvelous ship, fearsome foes, and an exotic setting, The Mark of Athena promises to be another unforgettable adventure by master storyteller Rick Riordan.

The Mark of Athena continues the adventure of the seven demigods in the prophesy of seven. The Mark of Athena tells the story by four demigods from the chosen seven. A continuation of their quest to stop the the evil Earth goddess, Gaia, but will focus on the quest that Annabeth has to do for her mother Athena. The Mark of Athena is full of action and this taps the lives of other characters making them more known to the reader and understand who they are. Rick Riordan has a really good way of telling his stories. From the three book of HOO I've read so far, this is my favorite but would probably change if I completed reading them all. I like the character development in this book especially of Leo Valdez. This book will leave you gaping once you reach the ending. People have different taste and likes when it comes to books. If you want to read fantasy genre, then find out the story by yourself and don't listen to others just because they said it's not really that good.

Its no wonder this book has a fandom,an d I'm in it. But because of the heartbreaking ending, I don't recommend reading if you don't want to go through extreme emotional trauma. This whole series (I have read every one of the books) breaks your heart in two ways. It's sadness from understanding that they live in a world of death breaks it, but the love, honor, and sacrifice makes your heart bigger and bigger until it bursts.

It was an EXTREMELY HARD decision, but I decided to wait to read the remaining 3 books in this series after reading The Son of Neptune. I read way too many books and forget what happened in this or that book. Therefor, have to read the books before all over again. So when the 3rd book came out, I said "Im gonna wait til 2014 when its all done". Although I did peek at a certain seeweed reunion ^.^
