I have had to get most of the useful information about my nexus 7 from other sources. This guide does not begin to assist a new user to discover the capabilities of my device. It brushes over the most basic functions, and by now, Google should have added an update to let us know we can integrate with our p.c.'s, use it as an additional monitor, as a remote desktop, etc. Google has not even told the initial customer base about the fact that this is only a test model. The nexus 7 they really plan to release for the normal user is the one that is coming out in 2013. I feel ripped off, under supported and angry at the lack of google's old non-commercial ways as well. It seems like this tablet was developed specifically to move people into a totally big brother networked system where every major website, social network and so on has every bit of our personal info and info about our friends, contacts, web surfing activities, etc. It is chilling to see google being so entrenched with the powers that be. I feel I cannot trust Google to have our best interests in mind and I am certain they have sold us all out. Bummer.

I found the Nexus 7 has some limitations compared to other Andriod Tablets. Apparently you can't write a review for the Nexus 7, but you can for the Guide Book. 1) Nexus 7 does not run Flash. For me this means I you can not view media from Amazon, or HBO or other video apps needing flash. It would be nice if there was some documentation regarding this in either the tech specs or guidebook. 2) Wi-fi is slow. I have several Android wi-fi devices, and they all run 2x faster than the Nexus 7. Maybe some documentation on trouble shooting Wi-fi and testing. 3) Finding Free books and content is very difficult using Google Play. This device is built for Google Play, but it does not seem to integrate well. The navigation to find titles by publish date, and price is very hard to find. There could be better documentation or examples. 4) The 16GB of storage actually is only 13GB. It would be nice if the technical and Guidebook indicated how much memory is needed for the OS, and required Apps, and how to optimize.

Tablet won't charge or accept videos even when converted using recommended tool that lists this specific device. Also, instructions in guide seem easy until you try to apply them within tablet. Very difficult to use. Screen is clear and picture bright. Too bad it is so difficult to use and manage. Spoiled by iPad. This tablet is taking two large steps back from iPad. Considering returning this and getting 2nd iPad for daughter. Learning curve too irritating.
