About the author

Kat Bellemore is the author of the Borrowing Amor sweet romance series. Deciding to have New Mexico as the setting for the series was an easy choice, considering its amazing sunsets, blue skies and tasty green chile. That, and she currently lives there with her husband and two cute kids. They hope to one day add a dog to the family, but for now, the native animals of the desert will have to do. Though, Kat wouldn't mind ridding the world of scorpions and centipedes. They're just mean.

Read the first three books in the Borrowing Amor series, where New Mexico meets small-town romance.

Chile peppers, hot air balloons and white sand dunes mix with a small town mayor, a fake fiance, and a second chance at love.

Borrowing Amor:

Love is a nuisance when all you want is to disappear.

Two weeks before Christmas, Katie is kicked out of her apartment. Again. Rather than wander the streets and continue to work for a dirty cop, she decides to leave the city and disappear for good. But her car breaks down in a small New Mexican town, and everything is threatened when she falls for the charming mayor.

Sam Freedman is the first bachelor mayor of Amor. After convincing the locals that having a mayor without family responsibilities means he can dedicate all his time to the community, townspeople watch his every move. Then Katie Andersen shows up. Against Sam’s better judgement, he hires her to replace his event coordinator. Now he can barely think straight, let alone run a town.

In the midst of half-truths and outright lies, Katie and Sam desperately search for the place where honesty and trust lead to love. But they have to find it before the past catches up with them.

Borrowing Love:

It’s better to have loved and lost, they said. They were wrong.

Ruby Freedman hasn’t left the small town of Amor in four years--not since her husband died. The memory of his fateful accident was enough to cause her to sell her airplane, and never ride in a car again. Then Parker Loveland comes back to town. Now she has to add him to her list of things she intends to avoid.

After years away, Parker Loveland is back in Amor to celebrate his parents’ thirtieth wedding anniversary. He has worked hard to escape the clutches of his hometown, but when he runs into Ruby, the only girl he cared about in high school, and the only one that ever stood him up on a date, he’s torn between the embarrassment he felt more than a decade before, and his desire to be around her.

Caught between memories of the past and fear of the future, it will take leaving Amor to help Ruby and Parker find the second chance they didn’t know they were looking for.

Borrowing a Fiance:

She wanted freedom. She got a fiance instead.

Melinda Garrett has been stuck managing her parent’s diner for over a decade, when all she had wanted was to go to college. When her younger sister gets married, Melinda reluctantly agrees to attend with her friend, Daniel, as her date. But when the pressure is on, she claims he is her fiance, in hopes that her parents’ opinion of selling the diner will change.

Daniel Armstrong isn’t the kind of guy a girl takes home to meet her parents, but when he offers to attend a wedding as Melinda’s date, he finds himself labeled as her future spouse. Now, challenges lie around every corner, testing Melinda’s claim that she and Daniel are in love.

With every touch and fake kiss, the line blurs between fiction and reality, and it seems inevitable that at least one heart will be broken by the end of the weekend.

Read books 4-6 in the Borrowing Amor series, where New Mexico meets small-town romance.

Space tourism and Carlsbad Caverns mix with a billionaire, rainbow boots, and a second chance at love.

Each can be read as a stand-alone novel.

Borrowing a BIllionaire:

Sometimes to find love, you need a little space.

Bev Miller is shocked when she wins two seats on the inaugural space tourism flight from Galactic Enterprises—considering she never entered her name into the drawing. But thanks to her best friend, Bev finds herself at a spaceport, preparing for the adventure of a lifetime. That includes Charles Michael. Handsome, single, and rich—he’s everything she’s cut herself off from. After her fall from grace and her stint with homelessness, she has no desire to date someone that represents her old life—the one where she, too, had wealth.

Charles Michael thought rising from rags to riches would solve all his problems. Now that his parent’s bills are paid off, the money is nothing but an anchor around his neck. He reserves a seat on a space tourism flight in hopes it will help him figure out his life—to give him perspective without distractions. He didn’t count on meeting Bev Miller.

Bev and Charles have only three days to shed their prejudices and learn to trust. Will the end of the flight mean the beginning of a new adventure?

Borrowing Kisses:

He’s a real estate developer who has a job to do. She’s the one who is going to stop him.

As the mayor’s assistant, Zoe Flores has had a front row seat to how quickly the small town of Amor has changed. So when she’s assigned to help real estate developer Stephen McAllister replace several local businesses with high-class stores, she plots to save Amor and drive Stephen out of town.

When Stephen shows up in Amor, the only thing he wants to do is buy out the properties on his list, then get out—all before the local residents realize what he’s up to. He didn’t plan on the mayor assigning his beautiful, and feisty, assistant as his liaison. Now he’ll be lucky to get anything done with her thwarting his every move.

Stephen and Zoe try to fight their growing attraction to each other, but can they put aside their differences long enough to give love a fighting chance?

Borrowing Second Chances:

No one told them that their ex would be on this trip.

When Debbie Allred is asked by the new mayor of Amor to go on a one-week recruiting trip, she is thrilled. This would be a chance to earn extra money while utilizing her skills as a business owner and a member of town council. But it isn’t until after Debbie agrees to the job that she discovers that the mayor didn’t give her all of the important details—specifically that Debbie’s ex-boyfriend would be heading the recruiting trip.

Bob Larcher is not a people person. At. All. He loves rules and procedure, which means he’s great at his job at Town Hall, but there is one item in his job description he’d overlooked. Job Recruitment. When he discovers that he’ll be traveling with his ex-girlfriend for an entire week, he’s not sure if he should be ecstatic, or terrified.

Armed with mistrust, unresolved resentment, and unwanted attraction, Bob and Debbie have two weeks to figure out what made them fall in love in the first place. And if it’s worth saving.
