About this ebook

The popularity of rifles designed to take big game has never been greater. Terry Wieland, a widely recognized firearms expert, explores in detail the rifles and calibers that are drawing attention. This second edition covers what has changed in the field since the first edition was published-new calibers, new cartridges, new guns, new actions-and includes new material on action and barrel manufacture, tracing the production of a fine, custom-made, big-bore rifle.

Well written and nicely illustrated. The author is a bit biased towards British double rifles. On the other hand, if you can get it somewhere else, do so if you want to read it in the original layout. Some books have nice illustrations and the publisher tries to bring them out in a nice layout. Then comes Google and messes them up. I cannot understand why are they stating "original pages" when you get a despicable epub-like layout printed to PDF. Another 6 months will pass for me staying away from Google books, then I'll let myself be fooled again by these people and buy my next butchered book. Google, wake up and try to make nice things.
