Gives real and practical examples of what to do if you or your loved ones are the focus of an online harassment campaign, as well as tips and tricks to keep your passwords long and accounts secure. Sections of the book may be outside of your depth if you've never stepped foot into the internet's geekier subcultures, but Quinn gives lots of background info to help those who aren't gamers, game devs, or women who have to interact with the internet a sense of the unique challenges facing these populations.

lies, blame tossing and self glorification. What you should take from reading this is, no matter if you are a sociopath, egotistical, lazy slob of a human being. Even you can warp countless impressionable minds into giving you money so you can live gloriously off of someone else's hard earned labor.

I'm a white cis straight male. Geeked and gamed all my life, been online since Prodigy was a thing. I followed Gamergate since it began. This book, and the deep-seated toxicity it describes, is absolutely real. Don't believe the garbage people piling on this - they have a vested interest in preserving the garbage culture that allows them to be terrible and face no consequences. It is a disgrace upon humanity, and white men in particular, that Quinn has had to live through this. I am very thankful that she did, so that she can continue to create - she's really good at it. The book is fantastic, and needs to be read widely if we're ever going to figure out how to fix the world for real.
