Grace Burrowes makes Christmas wishes come true in this dazzling yuletide Regency romance where getting snowed-in at the family estate is the perfect way for Lady Sophie to rekindle the desire she thought she'd cast aside.

All she wants is a little peace, but Sophie's holiday is about to heat up...

Lady Sophie Windham has maneuvered a few days to herself at the ducal mansion in London before she must join her family for Christmas in Kent—her last chance for some peace and quiet before the holidays. Suddenly trapped in Town by a snowstorm, she finds herself with an abandoned baby and only the assistance of a kind, handsome stranger standing between her and complete disaster.

With his estate in ruins, Vim Charpentier expected complications this holiday season, but he couldn't have predicted that Sophie Windham would be among them. His growing attraction for Sophie is the only thing that warms his spirits. But Sophie's been keeping secrets, and it will take more than a kiss under the mistletoe to make her wishes come true...

A special story of Christmas magic and wishes coming true when least expected. Lady Sophie, a duke's daughter is the eldest of five sisters and also has five brothers. Can you imagine? How wonderful that would be... She is such a kind hearted soul who takes in strays and always supports everyone. Well this becomes her time when she finds herself left with a baby very unexpectedly. But to make it very special she has the aid of a terribly handsome gentleman who helps her once she figures out the baby's mother is not coming back. Enchanting, two people who do not really know who the other truly is, ie a duke's daughter and he a baron but as they are stuck together during the snow. There is humor and sweet moments, building feelings for each other and shared memories, often painful and of course sweet Kit the baby who engages their common affection. Get lost in this sweet story that will make you smile and sigh as you turn the pages. A definate keeper! I read this through NetGallery and the publisher.

Being Christmas time, Sophie has made a Christmas wish....to be loved for herself and not for her title or dowry. I love Christmas stories and this one is a very tender and delightful one. It involves an abandoned baby, Sophie who is a Duke's daughter and Wim who is a Baron. Secrets are kept, decisions need to be made, past heartbreaks need to be addressed, falling in love was not expected and families need to stick together. I have to say, I so enjoyed Sophie's brothers, I could just picture all their antics and the way they talked to each other:) Lord Baby Kit is also absolutely precious!! Some readers might think the story went on too much about how to take care of a baby but it didn't bother me. I received an ARC of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

What is the Lady’s Wish? What a fun and different Christmas Regency romance! I don't get to say that often. I love the parts of this book written from the hero’s point of view. He has a sarcastic (sometimes sardonic) and dry wit that shines through. And the poor abandoned baby, Kit! The author actually made him into an important character, often working as a catalyst between the hero and heroine in a very endearing way. I think it takes some skill as a writer to be able to make an infant such a well-rounded individual and a key element to the story. The hero and the heroine are waylaid because of a storm. They are strangers to each other, but the hero certainly has some mad skills with babies, especially compared to the heroine. His desire to help the lovely lady and abandoned baby is certainly sweet. Neither is telling the other who they truly are, but they're forced time together certainly reveals other aspects of their characters. A delightful holiday Regency read. I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
