About this ebook

The New Empire intends to mark its victory over the Nationalists with a bloody celebration. On the high holiday of Wintertide, the Witch of Melengar will be burned and the Heir of Novron executed. On that same day the Empress faces a forced marriage, with a fatal accident soon follow. The New Empire is confident in the totality of its triumph but there's just one problem-Royce and Hadrian have finally found the true Heir of Novron -- -and they have their own holiday plans.

When author Michael J. Sullivan self-published the first books of his Riyria Revelations series online, they rapidly became ebook bestsellers. Now, Orbit is pleased to present the complete series for the first time in bookstores everywhere.

Heir of Novron
is the final volume of The Riyria Revelations and includes Wintertide and -- available for the first time -- the final volume, Percepliquis.

The elaborate plot, shifting allegiances, personal tragedy, and heroic triumphs combine to make Heir of Novron the best volume of the series. It was impossible to put it down. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but I've never read a book before that got me to change my mind about characters as successfully as this one did. Heroes become villains and villains become heroes in a whirlwind of a story that never has a dull moment yet never feels forced or hurried. It's a must read.

Oh man, that ending, had me in tears not gonna lie and I'm a dude.. I called two of the mysteries in the book before they happened and I was pretty proud of that. It wasn't the ending I was hoping for but 'my ending' would of been a plot changer for it to work but it was definitely bitter sweet, that's for sure. Royce Melborn, like I said in the previous book's review, I've never read a book yet with a character like his and I just freakin' love him. I don't think I have it in me to read the prequels since I already know the ending's 'rewards' but oh well, this trilogy was great.

This is quite possibly the best series I have ever read. If I had to describe it I'd say it's a bit like the best parts of Tolkien and Joss Whedon were smashed together and then struck by a lightening bolt of epicness. If you read this series, start with this book, don't start with the prequel despite that it reads correctly that way timeline-wise. You will want to read it starting with this book, then the next two consecutively, and lastly go back and then read the prequels.
