Wolf Ranch and all its characters are like old friends at this point. Friends I can't help but be excited about and looking forward to seeing again and catching up on everything that's new. Reneé Rose & Vanessa Vale bring us Levi and Charlie's story. Levi came to Wolf Ranch when he left his grandparent's house. It's been pack, family, and home ever since. Charlie is a veterinarian bringing a mare from out of state to breed with one of Wolf Ranch's stallions. There was a wide range of emotions this storyline pulled from me. Laughter, anger, tears, butterflies in my stomach, and then having to turn the fan up! These two authors are great separately. Together they are a force to be reckoned with!

Another good installment to the Wolf Ranch series. I have one regret, and that is I wish the book had been longer. I liked Levi and Charlie together. They had chemistry, and they seemed to click from the very beginning. I also liked that Levi worked off the ranch in a position of authority. I thought that added a little something extra to his situation of being a half shifter.. I felt for Charlie and the predicament she found herself in with Dax. She seemed to be straightforward and intelligent when it came to her job. What I did wonder about was how she managed to get herself trapped, I'm glad it was explained later, because it made more sense given her personality. I also appreciated the diversity that appeared in the book. I could not figure out how Charlie was going to get out of the situation unscathed, but, leave it to 2 talented writers to come up with a twist I hadn't thought of for Charlie. Simple, easy, and to the point. I also appreciate seeing how each "mate" in the series handles finding out the other person is actually a wolf shifter. I appreciated the epilogue. I'm a big fan of epilogues. An additional plus was the bonus content. I admit, I'm just greedy. I wish we could have spent more time with Levi and Chatlie beyond the bonus material. The question is, "Did they ever take that next step?" A sweet, steamy sexy romance with a bit of intrigue and suspense. Levi is probably my favorite Wolf Ranch character! While I’ve loved all the Wolf Ranch characters we’ve met so far, Levi is far and away my favorite, and, if you read this, I think you’ll understand why. His abusive childhood, his feelings of not quite fitting in – and his sorrow at not being able to identify his mate as the other shifters can – these combine to make him a hugely empathetic character. Also, there’s a scene early in the book when Charlie arrives that must have been fun to write because it’s certainly fun to read. This book allows the reader to visit with some of the existing characters again, which is always a bonus in a series like this, and I wholeheartedly recommend the book. It could have been much longer; I was sorry to say goodbye to the ranch and to Levi and Charlie. I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.
