About this ebook

He’s the boss. But she’s ready to take charge.

“Wonderfully witty and fresh, Bossed is a must-read for anyone who loves a sassy, modern heroine and an in-charge alpha hero.”—New York Times bestselling author Lauren Layne

Jenny: Job interviews are a bitch under the best of circumstances, but when your potential boss is the world’s biggest prick, that’s when you should simply walk away. It’s just that I need this job so badly—and I’m mesmerized by Ethan Mason’s piercing gaze. Men like him aren’t supposed to exist in real life. But under the tailored suits and GQ looks, Ethan simmers with barely restrained ambition. And no matter how hard I work to fight the attraction, I’m going to get burned.

Ethan: You don’t become a top agent without learning how to close a deal. I always get what—or who—I want, by staying cool and in command. Then Jenny Jackson walks into my office with her lush curves and “screw you” attitude and blows away my intentions of keeping things professional. All I can think about is exploring the perfect body hidden beneath those conservative clothes or shutting her saucy mouth with one hot kiss. Jenny’s worth breaking the rules over—if I can convince her to break the rules for me.

Bossed is sexy. And by that, we mean sexy. Like 18+ sexy. This ebook includes an excerpt from another Loveswept title.

**Advanced copy received from the publisher and NetGalley for an honest review** Jenny Jackson needs a job. It's really as simple as that. Her father is ailing and medical bills are piling up and he is the only family she has outside of her best friend, who also helps to care for him. On the morning of a job interview, Jenny literally runs into one of the most attractive men she's ever laid eyes on, and the chemistry is there nearly immediately, but so is the man's attitude. And it's not a good one. When Jenny arrives at the interview and realizes the man the encountered was the owner of the agency she hopes to work for, she's less than thrilled. And his attitude toward his employees is so harsh that Jenny calls him out during her interview. She's definitely a sassy, stick to your guns kind of woman. Ethan Mason has his reasons for acting and running his business like he does. He's seen as cold and demanding to say the least, but there is something about Jenny Jackson that gets under his skin. While he tries to maintain his usual aloofness and separation, he's constantly drawn to Jenny and finally lets her know it. This book is full of a roller coaster of emotions and plenty of hotness, and I mean HOTNESS! Both Jenny and Ethan have their moments where you'd like to look at them and go "what are you thinking?!", but we all have those moments every day. In the end, will these two be able to get out of their own way and find a way to utilize that chemistry? I really enjoyed the characters of Kelsey and Matt, Jenny and Ethan's best friends respectively. I'd love for them to get stories, whether together or separately. I think those would definitely be worth a read. This was my first Sloane Howell book, but it definitely will not be my last!

I really enjoyed this one. It's and employee/employer office romance story with a couple of really snarky characters that made me laugh. I do love a good smartass remark. The secondary characters are quite interesting and I'm looking forward to reading their story. There is a wide range of emotions going on in this story as well. The H Ethan doesn't come across quite as Alpha as I think he was intended to be but I did enjoy him. The h Jenny is a bit out of control at times but she was ok. Overall a very enjoyable read and one I definitely recommend.

This was my first book by Sloane Howell and I was impressed. This story was a fun, laugh-out-loud, really enjoyable read, along with a little sexy and sad times. Jenny Jackson is on her way to a job interview with a sports agent company, Mason and Associates. While walking on the sidewalk in a large, Texas city, Jenny accidentally bumps into this gorgeous guy wearing a suit and tie who looks like he should be on the cover of GQ. Jenny starts apologizing when the suit gets all cocky and arrogant. Well Jenny was never one to slink back quietly and gets all up in this guys face and lets him have it good. He may be cute and sexy but he's still a prick! Jenny barely makes it to her interview on time and guess who is the owner of Mason and Associates???? Yep, the cocky prick who she ran into, Ethan Mason! Jenny realizes she probably won't be getting this job but sits down at the conference table with all the other guys. Right away Ethan starts in on Jenny and of course Jenny can't help it, she throws it right back! Ethan starts treating Jenny like she doesn't know a thing about baseball, which of course she does, and even starts spewing statistics. Of course what Ethan says is wrong and Jenny gets up to leave, very irritated at Ethan and then corrects him on his statistic. Now Jenny has really peaked his interest. No female has done that in a very long time. Jenny ends up getting the job and then the real fun begins. I just loved these two together. There is nothing better than a feisty female putting a male in his place. I'd say Jenny gave it back better than she got it! I really enjoyed the journey these two went on to get to their happy ending. They both were raised by a single father which greatly shaped how they handled things in their lives. I liked the secondary story about Jenny's dad and especially her friend Kelsey. Overall this was a fun, sexy read.
