(This is a re-release)This is the first book in a three book series. This series is all about the Corwin Curse and is based in Massachusetts. Back when the Salem witch trials where going on a Perkins witch placed a curse on a Corwin males. What is so wild is the Corwin males still believe it! LOL This is Derek Corwin and his high school sweetheart Gabrielle a writer who proves paranormal actives are not real, one activity at a time. She is writing a book about the Corwin Curse. Something that caused Derek to break up from her back when they graduated from high school. This book is both funny and also has some sad parts in places. You get to know the older Corwin brothers/cousins and all their weirdness. It is a great start to this series which I highly recommend. Great romance. I was given an advanced copy to read and review. Here is the order to read the series in. Lucky Charm (Lucky #1) Lucky Streak (Lucky #2) Lucky Break (Lucky #3)

Sexy, fun and entertaining Small town second chance romance with a small magical twist. Two small towns, two families and one small town scandal turned curse long ago still going strong today. (or is it possible it was never real) Derek Corwin and his family may have been cursed (or have they). Gabrielle, his first love and the one he let go to save them from the curse. She is back in town and so is he can they have a future? If Gabrielle has anything to say about it they will. Loved that the she is so determined to fight for the future they where denied over a decade ago. Looking forward to more from this series.

Lucky Charm, the first book in Carly Phillips Lucky series trilogy, is a second chance love story. Every Corwin male was cursed since the era of the Salem witch trials to fail in a marriage of love as well as lose their fortune. Unfortunately, generations seemed to prove its truth despite it sounding crazy. Derek Corwin was deeply in love with his high school sweetheart, Gabrielle. For her own good, he lets her go and she moves out of state a short while later with her family. He marries a college interest, who got pregnant, and they had a daughter. They are divorced and his ex-wife remarried at the opening of the story. Holly, his 11 year old daughter, has come to live with Derek for part of the summer. Gabrielle has never stopped loving Derek and no man she has met has been able to measure up to him. She has become a successful author and recently moved back to the area. Gabrielle is determined to prove that the curse cannot be real and goes about winning Derek's love. Gabrielle is spunky, courageous, and funny. Derek is a smart man yet he has let history and his family convince him into believing in the curse. Gabrielle is determined to change his mind, and many interesting happenings occur. Ms. Phillips is a wonderful storyteller which she demonstrated in this story. I enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting it down. This is a great book with plenty of romance and suspense, as well. I recommend this book to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
