Once Henry Head had described the dermatomes neurologists were looking for additional systems that followed a particular organization. Inman and Saunders found this on the bones, more precisely on the periosteum, and published their findings in 1944. Later Vogler should develop his massage of the periosteum from this. Sclerotomes are sensitive regions on the periosteum, which allow statements about a segmental disorder. Thus we have an interesting tool to specifically clarify segmental causes of problems, especially painful issues and “Referred Pain” sensations. For the treatments in the sclerotomes next to a rather painful massage these reflexology areas resp. the environment of it can be infiltrated with specific homeopathic injections or illuminated with specific light in different colours.

Ewald Kliegel * 1957, Naturopath in his own practice in Stuttgart, Germany, is meanwhile working with patients for almost 40 years and he is a lecturer at medical schools for 25 years.
