A promise could cost it all.
With a ship full of refugees who have given up everything to escape enslavement, and nowhere safe to settle them, Nathaniel Grey must make an impossible choice. The only world they have a right to call home is already occupied, and it may take a war to evict the archaeologist holding it.
Against a new fleet of Coalition ships, outfitted with advanced Takhu technology and carrying an army of conscripted Ut'aran super-soldiers, the price of that war will be paid in innocent blood.
Blood that Nathan has sworn not to spill.
Trapped between his vow to protect the Ut’arans, and an enemy who seems ready to treat them as expendable, Nathan faces a devastating ultimatum.
Break his oath or lose everything.
Some causes are worth any price. Pick up No Lost Cause today and join the fight!
Eric is known as a writer of harder-edge Science Fiction novels with believable characters, action-packed plots, and a solid science foundation that provides the backdrop for the story. He lives in the beautiful high country of New Mexico's Manzano Mountains (where the winter weather has occasionally been said to resemble the outback of Mars). Before becoming a writer, he was Director of Research for a private consulting laboratory in Phoenix where, among other things, he experimented with inertial propulsion and power generation technologies.
When not writing, Eric plays guitar and bass and occasionally dabbles in art of various forms.
He also owns way too many dogs… and, as a result, is often seen fighting heroically against mountains of dog-hair.
