About this ebook

Fans of Meghan Quinn, D.E. Haggerty, and Courtney Walsh will enjoy this steamy older woman younger man rom-com by USA Today Bestselling contemporary romance author, Tracy Solheim.

Chances Inlet is the home of second chances. Too bad not everyone wants one. Not even for Christmas . . .

Chances Inlet, North Carolina is the last place major league baseball player Ryan McAlister wants to hide from the media to rest up his broken hand. He left his gossipy, Christmas-obsessed hometown in the dust over a decade ago. When he gets caught up in the town’s holiday antics, he finds himself responsible for making a little boy’s Christmas wish come true. The kid’s widowed mother, however—a blast from Ryan’s past—just might make his stay a bit more exciting.

Physical therapist Jane Sheffield loves her hometown. Especially at Christmastime. Since this may be her last in Chances Inlet, she’s determined to make the most of it with her young son. But after her childcare falls apart, she gets more than she bargained for when her best friend’s younger brother volunteers to help out. The rebellious teen she tutored in high school has grown up into a sexy charmer and so much more than the pretty face he pretends to be.

Can a stray dog, the Ghost of Christmas past, and a host of meddling townsfolk muster up enough Christmas spirit to convince Ryan and Jane to give their hometown—and each other--a second chance?

This book is the third book in a family saga but can be read as a standalone. It gives readers a satisfying HEA that will have them feeling the Christmas spirit all year long.

5 star review of Second Chance Christmas by Tracy Solheim I was hooked on this book from the first chapter. I love the sound of Chances Inlet, North Carolina and could easily see myself there, add in that the town is Christmas obsessed and I was all in. This is professional baseball player Ryan McAlister and physical therapist Jane Sheffield’s story. One of the things that I enjoy the most about reading stories set in small towns is that everyone always has an opinion and have no problems sticking their noses where they are not always welcome. Ryan, left his home town behind years ago and had no intention of returning, until injury and some bad press has him heading home. Despite himself, he soon finds himself immersed in the antics of the town and the holiday spirit. When he is tasked with helping a little boy’s Christmas wish come true , he is surprised to come face to face with Jane again. The connection between Ryan and Jane is instant and I loved how the whole town banded together to “encourage” their relationship. The characters were quirky and watching the town become so invested was entertaining. I enjoyed Ms. Solheim’s style of writing, it was engaging with characters that were easy to relate to and who you cannot help but want to get their happily ever after. Although I haven't read the previous books in the serious I had no trouble reading this as a stand alone, however I enjoyed this book so much that I am going to check out the other books as soon as possible.

Second Chance Christmas by Tracy Solheim, book three in her Chances Inlet series, for a wonderful, heart-warming romance filled with the magic of Christmas. Professional ballplayer, Ryan, has returned to Chances Inlet to recover from an injury, lay low, and partakes in the wedding festivities for his older brothers; but being home is the last place he wants to be. Soon, Ryan is caught up in all the celebrations, playing Santa at his mom’s inn’s children’s breakfast. Hearing the wish from Henry, best friend of his niece, Emily, puts Ryan in a bit of hot water. Henry wants a boyfriend for his mom, for her to have some fun in her life. Instead, Ryan promises a puppy, which is the number one rule not to do in the Santa handbook; making him feel responsible for fulfilling Henry’s wishes. Jane, a physical therapist, is a young widow, loves raising her son, Henry in Chances Inlet, but this will be their last Christmas there; if her in-laws have their way. When her best friend, Ryan’s older sister, goes on bed-rest, Jane’s childcare falls apart; Ryan offers to help. Jane helped Ryan back in the day, tutoring him. Discovering a lost puppy in the garage of the inn, Ryan knows this is a sign, and brings the pup to Jane’s, for Henry to help raise and name. It doesn’t take long for the strong chemistry, magnetic attraction, and former crushes, to connect Ryan and Jane; even if it’s only for a short while. Chances Inlet is known for its people getting second chances; maybe Ryan and Jane will get more time together than just the holidays. Ms. Solheim wrote a wonderful, holiday romance story, with a young boy, and his dog that should not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with magnetic attraction, sizzling chemistry, clever banter, and endearing characters, mainly family, giving Ryan and Jane a chance for a love and a future together with Henry and Kringle, the pup. I highly recommend Second Chance Christmas to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

If you are looking for a magical read look not further than Second Chance Christmas set in the wonderful town of Chances Inlet, North Carolina. Let’s be honest even the names of this town has a magical feel about it and once you add in that the town is Obse with Christmas you get a book that will certainly insert some holiday spirit. This is physical therapist Jane Sheffield and professional baseball player Ryan McAlister’s Chance at love. Ryan left his home town to pursue a baseball career but an injury has him back home for the holidays, his family and this town are all about Christmas and as soon as he arrives home he is roped into playing Santa. Without the Santa handbook he ends up promising Christmas wishes that can’t be done to a little boy and that in turn brings him face to face with Jane again. It’s obvious from the moment these two meet again that the attraction is still there but Ryan is only meant to back in town for the holidays so what happens when the whole town starts to encourage a relationship for Ryan and Jane. I loved everything about this book, I fell hard and fast for the town and it’s quirky characters, I was drawn in from the first page and I was captivated until the last magical word was read but what took this book to another level was the relationship Ryan built with Jane’s little boy Henry. This is the first book I have read in this series, so I can vouch that this is a true stand-alone but I will be checking out the previous books in this series as soon as time perfects. I guess all that’s left to say is please one click this magical read.
