About this ebook

Lady Eleanor Petersham knows exactly what she wants from her marriage - a man who will worship at her feet. Instead, her father arranges her marriage to her brother's best friend, the devastatingly handsome, authoritative, and devilishly dominant Lord Edwin Hyde.

It doesn't matter that he makes her entire body tingle when he kisses her, or brings her to heights of pleasure she's never known, or how he disciplines her when she plays nasty tricks on him - like throwing a dinner party which only includes dishes with ingredients he despises - she's not willing to give up on her version of marriage without a fight.

Pain and pleasure struggle for dominance the same way husband and wife do.

Edwin & Eleanor's story continues in the rest of the quartet... HEAs guaranteed.

The Quartet

1. Birching His Bride

2. Dealing With Discipline

I love Golden Angel and have every book in all of her other series. That being said, I just can't read this series. I tried another book when it was free several years ago and I made it through but it just wasnt really my type. It's been a couple of years so I though I would try again. NOPE!! Unlike her other books where the dominant are alpha males and can be jerks, you always know they really care for their subs. In this book (yes, I know it's only the first book in the series), the male - to me - is an arrogant, know it all, who doesn't seem to give a darn about his wife. It's all about what HE wants and if she happens to like it, well good for her. In my eyes, the Male has absolutely nothing to make him likeable. I'm so glad the author has other series that thrill me and that have ultimately likeable alphas.

very adult themed book. Not totally inappropriate since it has to do with landing, marrying, and birching of a bride. Very climatic first two-thirds of the book. Interesting combinations of words that bring different, images and situations to mind. The word Birch or Birching is what lead me to this book. Knew of a birch wood, never heard of birching a bride. Left me with an essence of what a successful marriage could be.--------also short 150 pages so not so long i wasted my time on a subject I usually don't read, but short and entertaining enough to fill a void of time i had.

A great beginning to a series that I am more than intrigued by. While this focuses on Edwin and Eleanor, we also get glimpses as to what is going on with the others friends during the season. Eleanor was hard to like at first but Edwin is exactly what she needs. While there are some scenes that may make some people cringe, I did, it makes sense with the time of the story and things that were acceptable.

About the author

I'm a huge fan of Victorian/Regency romances and Victorian/Regency erotica, but as I've been reading I've noticed that there are very few books that give me the romance and the domestic discipline and the hot sex all in one book.  There are a few but mostly each book focuses on just the romance or just the discipline with some sexy-time thrown in.  So I wanted to make my own attempt and really combine all three things.  I consider this book my "test" run, because it's too long to be a novella but I'm not sure I consider it a full length book.  It's my introduction for myself and for you into this world... if you like it, then hopefully you'll get the rest of the Quartet =)  Eleanor and Edwin's story continues in the next book and Irene and Hugh's truly begins.  I've really enjoyed writing this first book and I can't wait to continue the series, hopefully you'll enjoy reading!
