About this ebook

The New York Times and USA TODAY bestseller, the first in a scorching series about a beautiful young sports rehab specialist who can't fight her attraction to a dangerously sexy underground fighter.

Remington Tate has a bad-boy rep in and out of the ring, a granite-hard body, and a raw, animal power that sends his female fans into a frenzy. But from the moment their eyes lock, the only woman he wants is Brooke Dumas. His desire is pure, all-consuming, and REAL.

Hired to keep his perfect body working like a machine, Brooke finally has the lucrative sports therapy job she’s been dreaming of. But as she tours the dangerous underground fighting circuit with Remy and his team, Brooke’s own body becomes alive with the most primal of hungers. If what happens between Brooke and Remy is ever as light as a flirtation, it quickly becomes an erotic obsession for them both, and promises so much more.

But their white-hot lust has a dark side—and when Remy’s deepest secret comes to light and Brooke’s familial duties demand action, will the pair be able to hang on, or will everything that once seemed so real suddenly fade away like an illusion?

2.5 stars Brooke is an ex athlete who gets hired by Remington who is the star of a dangerous underground fighting circuit. She’s responsible for keeping his body in good working order so he can demolish his next opponent. I’ve always been a little cautious when it comes to books that are hyped up to the max. I skimmed several 5 star reviews before I saw a lot of quotes from this book that I felt were pretty bad so I put it off for a couple of months. With the next book coming out and the hype back up full force I decided to go ahead and try my luck with it. I was about 50% through and honestly didn’t get all the hype. There was little interaction between Brooke and Remy for the longest. It’s like whenever they were around each other it was more about how Brooke’s body was reacting to a look or a brush of body parts. The only thing I really got from Remy was that he’s quiet, dark, troubled and has serious anger issues. There were times where I felt like I could stop reading and be content from what I gathered. Brooke is basically a sex starved female who needs to get laid. You would think she was a virgin or something the amount of clinching she was doing. She stayed “moist” between her thighs and thinking about sex with Remington basically. When the deed finally did happen I got NOTHING from it which basically confirmed I wasn’t swooning over these two like a lot of other people were. Overall I just didn’t like the writing so maybe that also affected the way I felt about their story. The “licking” and “scenting” was just too much for my liking. I will say the little drama we got was pretty interesting. I didn’t mind Mel for what she was.

Every so often, you come across a writer that reaches down and touch a part of you that hasn't been touched in a very long time. That is what this author has done to me with this book. There are not words to adequately describe how deeply moved I was reading 'Real'. I have heard a lot about a person being 'bipolar', but to feel what that person is feeling to my very core, undescribable. Despite his condition, Remington still finds a way to continue getting back up. He is the epitome of what it means to keep fighting, literally and figuratively. Bravo, Ms. Evans. Great book. Can't wait to read more.

I have read a quite a few novels I think Remington is leading the leader board in category of best novel sex god/ boyfriend. I love the primal instincts, it makes so simple and animalistic. Yummy! 1st place __Remington Tate (Real/Remy/Mine) 2nd place _Brandon Taylor (Taking Chances) 3rd place _Andrew Parrish (The Edge of Never) 4th place _Cameron Hamilton (Waiting for You) 5th place _Chase Grayson ( Taking Chances/ Stealing Harper) I obviously have a thing for fighters. Remington tops the yummy list.
