Robert Yeo is Singaporean of Baba Heritage. He has published half a dozen books of poetry and they are collected in The Best of Robert Yeo, published 2012. He has also written plays which have been performed, the best-known are collected in his political trilogy The Singapore Trilogy published 2001. He has also written the librettos for two operas, Fences and Kannagi. Both operas have been performed in Singapore. His latest books are Routes: A Singaporean Memoir 1940–75, published in 2011, and the play The Eye of History, published 2016, about an imagined meeting between Stamford Raffles and Lee Kuan Yew. He hopes to publish a book of essays on theatre, literature and the teaching of literature in Singapore.
