About this ebook

Ariella Mason has the perfect life.

Perfect job? Check.

Perfect home? Check.

Perfect fiancé? Check.

None of this is by accident. Ariella is a card-carrying perfectionist.

On the other side of the city lives Ariella’s polar opposite. Caleb Black is an unrepentant smart-ass, seat-of-his-pants, arrogant party-boy getting through life on charisma and raw sex appeal (his words).

So why, one night, does Ariella turn up with her bags, asking to rent Caleb’s spare room?

Ariella has done a complete 180 on her life. And nothing good could ever come of this… Could it?

Be captivated by this hilarious, and oftentimes, heartbreaking journey into both Ariella and Caleb’s worlds, as one tries to rebuild their once-perfect life; while the other struggles with just how much theirs could change forever. The perfect read for fans of Mhairi McFarlane, Beth O’Leary and Sophie Kinsella.

Warning - CLIFFHANGER. One day, without warning Ariella Mason comes home from work, packs her belongings and moves out of the gorgeous flat she shares with her fiancé Jasper and moves into Caleb Black's spare room. Caleb and Ariella both work for the same events company where Ariella is seen as aloof and Caleb .... well let's just say he knows most of the women there intimately. I received an ARC from the publisher Storm via NetGalley for an honest review.

I guess the main audience for this book will be female, but as a male I can claim to have thoroughly enjoyed Ola Gibson's debut novel. Exploring relationships ups and downs and challenging the honesty of the central characters. Thanks as always to Storm Publishing and NetGalley for the chance to sample the work of another new author.

It was an absolute joy to read a story without the requisite over-the-top quirky characters. Loved it, great writing, so funny in spots, etc. Now long do I have to wait for more? Really, you’ve broken my heart just let me know when the next book will be out.

About the author

Ola has spent the last 15 years delivering global events for her clients, giving her more material on human behaviour ‘when nobody is watching’ than she can exhaust.

She spends most of her time observing the symbiotic relationship between the joys and inadequacies of life while stuffing her face with cookies and laughing at the most inappropriate things a little too loudly.

Her favourite things are her loving daughter, her long-suffering husband, falling asleep in hot yoga and having maybe too many glasses of wine with her gossipy friends.

She lives in South West London, and dreams of living elsewhere. All the time. She may have cried at the boarding pass history in her digital wallet during the pandemic. There is no way to confirm or refute that claim.

Ola is a member of the Society of Authors and an emerging author.
