Games vs. Hardware. The History of PC video games: The 80's is a great book for anyone who wants to learn more about the history of PC video games. It's full of interesting facts and stories about the games and the people who made them. The book is well-written and easy to understand, even for those who are not familiar with the technical aspects of game development. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves video games.

A very interesting look at notable games across computer and console platforms during the 1980s. The categorization by year allows for a clear storyline tracking the development of the PC in particular as a viable gaming platform. I have owned a good portion of the 1980s key videogame platforms along with an extensive collection of titles. Even so, I still gained many insights through this book. The author's infectious passion easily mitigates the occasional grammar mistakes.

A lot of information but really awful formatting and writing. Even found some "dis" instead of "this"
